Antiaging
Why Antiaging?
So, what is Antiaging Medicine?
There are two dominant concepts today among scientists about human ageing:
- Old age is a normal consequence of time, and our power to influence this inevitable process is small or negligible .
- Old age is a disease and our goal should be to treat it.
If ageing is a human disease for which, as in the case of many other diseases we have not discovered any therapy yet, then our goal for its treatment, is the prevention of numerous other diseases also associated with the ageing of the human body.
Substantial research is being carried out for the prevention and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer’s disease and an endless list of diseases primarily associated with ageing. And the question many scientists pose now is:
- Why not try to stop the ageing process? Just like that.
- What 30 years ago seemed like science fiction, starts today to become scientific reality.
- Being healthy is priceless.
The last 70 years, the average life on the planet has doubled, reaching 67 years. In developed countries, in 2010 it already reached 80 years.
It’s preventive medicine based on the implementation of advanced scientific and medical biotechnologies for an early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of disorders and diseases which are the result of ageing. It’s a healthcare model driving innovative research and scientific discoveries that have a double purpose:
- the lengthening of the people’s healthy life.
- the extension of human life expectancy. Not in the sense that people may simply exist , but in the sense that they can live independently and productively.
